I would like to buy one or two with the intention of putting them on a hollowbody (Hofner)

Please PM me with what you have, thanks.

hofner husk

If I had the time/energy, I would go snag it myself. I have too many projects happening.

Damn. That would have been perfect. Thanks a bunch Steve! I picked up an Ibanez full hollow shortie that I will sacrifice. It might end up being better only because that model of Hofner is blocked to stop feedback which might change the tone a tiny bit.

I see or talk to Fred every couple of months. He lives a few miles from me. He was fine last time I spoke with him, in late September.

I realized that my resonse might have been a bt less than helpful. If you were wondering about his DS business, I can't say - we didn't talk about it, really. He called me to ask if I could cover a couple of gigs for him (I have done that several times in the past) but I was already booked. We chatted a bit more - am I still in my tribute band, how are the guys in his band, etc - and that was it...

I was wondering about him personally. I always enjoyed him at the old place and the few times we transacted on pickups he was really easy to do the biz with. He sort of dropped off the planet Dark Star wise and I was hoping he was OK.

Thx again.
