Korean Fender Jazz bass $250 + shipping

Postby FatherGino » Sat May 03, 2014 10:31 am

Active Korean Fender Jazz bass with more frets that I want or need. Action is a little too low and I just don't feel like fooling with it. Really not a bad bass. What do you want for $250? No case or bag. About 9 lbs I'd say.

And I fixed it too!! Always had noise issues when plugging a cord into it. Figured it was a cheap jack. Plugged it in the other day and no signal at all!! So I took the jack plate off to see if there was anything obviously wrong. A piece of cable tie fell out and now it seems fine. [smilie=fun_84.gif]

What's the question? I figure half way would be maybe San Francisco.

Seriously, it could obviously be shipped but it might be a hefty price to go to such an exotic location. I just shipped a bass UPS ground, insured for $53 but that was only CT to Iowa.

Taking the neck off the body would cut down on shipping costs.

Yeah, shipping is just a fact of life out here,
like hurricanes and tsunamis...
but we have lots of up sides too.
[smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

As far as UPS, it would have to go Overnight or 2nd Day
(both pretty pricey)
but if taken apart, like Mr. Mom suggests, it could be shipped USPS.

If you'd like to consider the options/costs from your end,
I'm at zip code 96720.

I guess Fed-Ex ground doesn't work here. Is there no Fed-Ex water?

Really USPS? Before they go under. Can you insure stuff through them too?

Ya know this is a lot of work for a $250 bass!!!! [smilie=smilie_kopf.gif]

Yup. USPS insures. I shipped a pretty good sized Epi 2x12 to Paradise a few years back. IIRC, (big "if') it wasn't too bad.

Just ran a cost via USPS express 2 day air - online it was just $69 bucks for a 48x14x5 box, 11lb package. That's damn cheap. The last thing I sent to Hawaii was a reverb pedal and that was almost 40 bucks to ship.

For that price I sure wouldn't mind shipping myself to paradise [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

Papa G,

Sorry, I keep forgetting all about this thing. Are you still interested if it can be shipped with the neck off for less than $100. If so I'll really look into it.
