For those who buy/sell/trade basses: Uline shipping boxes.

Available right here.

Ken...

FYI, the perfect sized box for shipping disassembled basses at Uline. The size is 34x21x6 and it falls well under the size restrictions for USPS international Priority shipments.

+1 on Shipping Size

Postby jamie » Thu Jan 25, 2007 5:48 pm

The U-Line S-4922 carton ships with no oversize charges from the shipping companies.

Sized perfectly for a Fender case.

Requires a tick more than 3 cubic feet of styrofoam peanuts.

I use a couple pieces of styro sheet on the top and bottom, to cushion the bass case ends.

U-Line's a great company. used to do shipping for an internet based motorcycle accy wharehouse and we used them. Prompt delivery, good quality. Rare mistakes on orders in the time I dealt with them.

My cousin tried the g-shock thing when she was shipping large quantities porcelain statues. Good idea but used to come up missing with regularity when the packages arrived. YMMV.

Great boxes

Shipped to Houston, and back to NC, with the same box.
Couple of scuffs, but no crushing.
The best.

I agree there - I have used their shippping boxes and I also use them for bags and retail supplies for the store - they ship quickly and they're really easy to deal with. Their boxes are among the sturdiest I have seen.

Yes, this should be a sticky. I find shipping boxes at the GC or other large music stores. Usually in the rear of the store, they have their dumpster, & discard all of their boxes.
