family shot

Older is better here. If Kebo has to explain, you wouldn't understand.

haven't taken one for a while - these are my main basses - there are a few more but nothing that deserves to be in this picture.

Nice grouping there Steve.

Fender drives me insane reissuing everything under the sun except the one thing I want which is a maple neck 69-75 TV logo bass.

Come to think of it that maple neck really clashes with the rest. Send it out here and stop with the fashion faux pas. [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

Guy's ya think that's bad I got to play the 69, The T-Bird and the Kay all Phenominal basses! KILLER is all I can think of! I played a sweet Jazz that Steve had also?? Is that one gone Steve??
Anyway Steve's got a great arsenal! I have so much T-Bird gas after 5 mins with that BlackBird that I can't stand to even look at it! [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif] [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]

The 74 black block Jazz is long gone - the 71 Rick took it's place. I wasn't using the Jazz - It was a good turn for me.

The basses are
Top row: 77 Starfire, 50s Kay, 74 P (the wife)
Bottom: 77 Bird, 70P, 71 Rick 4001

Thanks guys. There are a few more basses I'd love to own but I'm very well covered, tone-wise, with this bunch.

Well, the bird is pissed off. The Starfire is the San Fran sound but can cover Beatle territory - anywhere from polite to Hairy. The Kay is the most upright sounding fretted electric I've ever touched - woody and delicious. The Rick is the classic Rick sound in your head - sproingy, a little compressed sounding. The P's are hammers - One with a bright low-mid fundamental and one with a dark low-mid fundamental. They all have flats except for the Bird. TIs on the Kay Rick and Starfire. GHS on the RW P and Chromes on the Maple P.
