Older is better here. If Kebo has to explain, you wouldn't understand.

Thought that would get some of your attention. Just landed 1/14 (thurs) from Keboland. 1966 4005WB in Fireglo--one of 10 in that finish for '66. I had asked Kevin to keep an eye open for a "reasonably-priced late '70s" 4005--I figured that a 4005 from that era would be about the only 4005 that I could ever financially make happen. Kevin, as usual, came through and exceeded all expectations. Not only was it a '60s, but it was of the even harder to find WB(OS) species, and...it was within my means!

The only mod (other than 2 very small screw holes) is a replacement bridge--which from a player's standpoint works much better than the stock bridge. It's a well-engineered bridge and not noticeably different from the original from a few feet away.

Plays and sounds great, especially through my silverface Bassman head & 2-15" cab. The icing on the cake is that it has the original silver tolex case. One more time for a loud "thank you" to Kebo.

WOW! Great score they don’t turn up that often, welcome to the ’05 club I have a 1965 in FG if ypurs has got a neck like mine you’ll really love it I’ve owned mine since the mid-80s & never had to touch the truss rod, however you may find the string guides in the “R” tail piece a bit tight at least on mine the D string can be a pain to fit
Cheers & enjoy

Thanks. Yeah, those "R" tailpieces can be a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, I'm not much of a string-changer when it comes to may basses (or guitars either). The neck on this one is a lot friendlier than the one on the '79 4005 that I owned back in the '80s.
