Anyone Tried Nash "relic" basses

Older is better here. If Kebo has to explain, you wouldn't understand.

Anyone Tried Nash "relic" basses

I have been checking out these, seems pretty interesting. Has anyone tried one of these?
Impressions? I kinda like that stacked knob jazz.

No, but I did swap him some cables for a J bass body once. The body was not yet relic'ed. It was a nice body. He makes all his bodies and necks himself. We exchanged a lot of emails, very nice guy. Like his site says, now he only sells through dealers. He used to sell stuff on ebay. I don't know if he still does.

We just got one of these into the Good Guys shop last week. Kevin bought it at the Orlando shop and shipped it home. I took it out of the pile of new gear to tech it, shoot the pics and write it up. I gotta tell ya, it's very nice bass for the money, VERY nice! This one is in a nicely reliced Lake Placid Blue with '62 features such a s a slab board. It does have a repro L series neck plate which of course wouldn't be correct for a 62 but who cares, it's not a REAL 62 Jazz Bass anyway. But it's a very well put together bass, nice build quality, sounds and plays great. It's the first I've seen and I was impressed with it. This one will be on our website soon, if it ever gets warm enough on the east coast to take our guitars outside to shoot the pictures!

I've played a 57 P-bass, and a 63 Nash Jazz.

For the money, the play and sound very good.

Necks, feel great.

Loller pickups, are very nice.

Nice bass.

Good gig basses, but I'm not selling my old fenders yet?

Doesn't Aussie Mark have some nice examples?

EDIT:

Heres one of Marks.

He might chime in once his time zone comes around....

Random guessing starts now. The string through ferels are smaller than should be....but thats being picky.

Tim, by the way, B&B has one or 2 of them right now.
