I'm giddy like a little schoolgirl....

Older is better here. If Kebo has to explain, you wouldn't understand.

Sorry guys, I've been playing my azz off. Thrus, Fri Sat (5 sets a night, filling in for Fred Hammon) then a 3 hr practice on Sun with the SRV gang.

Will shoot some tonight when I get home.

This is a really nice axe. Really, really nice. It's a 75, I believe, and it's a nice narrow A-neck. About 8.5 lbs.

Funny, I ran both this and the 64 refin at my last night covering for Fred. The 64 sounds so good and mellow -- just a great tone for pure blues. This one is a bit more ballsy, but not too much.

I wanted sto find a 'burst P for the SRV tribute thing I'm doing, and it needed to be an A-neck so I could get around quickly. This fits the bill perfectly.

Thanks Uncle KeBo!

That bass has my Top 5 qualities I love in an instrument:

1. It's a Fender
2. It's a P-bass
3. It's sunburst
4. Has a TV logo
5. "A" neck

Very nice... congrats!

Is there an autograph sig on the back of the head stock?

I like that justification for buying a bass. Now you're going to go out and buy some Huge Peavey amps and make two 300 pound 2/15 cabs. right? I mean, come on, it should be 100% authentic right? [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]

Nope. Why? Look familiar?

See, that would be taking things a bit too far....I draw the line at getting a new vehicle to drive around my "authentic" rig.... [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

Yep, Kev had one like this awhile back that I checked out, with Babbitt's sig. It was very nice, but my 66J necked P edged it out.

That '75 P-Bass looks familiar to me because it was MY bass.KeBo had a '64 Fiesta Red refin w/Matching J that I just couldn't resist-Ya can't have 'em all so something had to go.Glad ya got it Duke! It's got a great neck!

In fact-KeBo got a lot of my cool basses two weeks ago-However I ended up with a couple of amazing basses in return.People upstate are totally flipping over that '64 FR(as am I) [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif]

As for the LPB '67 J-forgettabout it.It's a killer!In fact,I can't pick out which bass I like more-the FR '64 or the LPB '67 J.They both are the bomb.

Will surely miss that S/B '75 A-neck P though.Glad to hear that it's found a good home!!

No kidding? Funny, I played the FR refin in Dallas and it was a great axe but a bit more than I wanted to spend right then. Plus, right now I need to cop that Tommy Shannon look....

Cool for you! And cool for me!

Petey - This bass is MUCH nicer cond then the a-neck I sent your way.

I pretty much moved this bass sideways as a favor to Tris. Scotty and I did a 8 bass deal about 3 weeks ago. The entire deal took all of 30 minutes. This way we had time to bs and eat some pizza.
