The Police live

I re-watched "Certifiable" bluray again this past weekend. Stunning quality BR, by the way!

Aside from being amazed how great these guys sounded and played on their reunion tour, I just don't GET how Sting plays [smilie=smilie_kopf.gif] I mean, he gets this great tone, and he just BARELY moves his thumb over the strings. And he plays tough, syncopated parts with this technique while singing. Gah.

Now, it looks like he did 'dig in' a little more during the rockin' instrumental sections and Andy's solo improvs, but most of the time it's just 'lazy thumb'. I've seen cats with a light touch, but wow.

We saw this tour, and it was incredible. Thanks for the heads up Dan, it's a must have for me. [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]
