new to me EB-2

Well, not exactly. But close! Greco SA-B from 1987. Apart from surface scratches on the pickguard this baby is almost mint! I'm very impressed with the packing job and overall service provided by Hideki at obsoleteguitars.com who acted as middleman on this deal because the shop that had this bass forsale wouldn't sell internationally.

A beauty indeed!

That's all there is to it--I must get one of these neat vintage Gibsons. I'll keep you guys updated on my progress.

Should round out the Wyman image nicely.
[smilie=cool-smiley-031.gif]

What are you gonna string it with
and what are the tone options like?

With just that one p/up,
I am imagining some serious vintage mud lows.

Gonzo, it came with Chromes, so I'll keep those and see how they go. I have a set of shorty TI Flats if needed, but I think the Chromes will be fine. Mudbucker for sure!

Oh, and by the way, I'm an idiot. All along I thought this was short scale because it's an EB-2/Rivoli, but I was playing it just now and realised it's long scale! Bonus! [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]

I really dig those pix figaro guitars took. That is some good bass porn right there. Especially the ones of the back. Nice flames.

Did it come in that pimpin' leather bag?

Yes, they take great pics, Some nice porn on their website. The leather bag is actually vinyl, those J's do a good job on copying leather too! [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]

Nice looking bass, Mark!

Nothing says Greco like a cheap brown vinyl gigbag!
