Finally did it. The '68 EB-3 is in the shop

A choice, not an echo.

I have to admit I actually like the gold knobs a bit better myself. I have absolutely no idea which color is "correct"-(or whatever) but I like the more "retro" feel that they give. My wife likes the black knobs, though [smilie=fun_84.gif]

Stopped by the shop today and took a first hand look at the bass. It's coming along very nicely. They're letting the paint cure before they polish it up. It's looking great! I think these guys are going to get more of my business soon.

Me, too. This was originally walnut. I'm really going to like having it cherry. I hope it has that Allen Woody rumble to it when I get to play it.

Had to go by the shop and drop off the original bridge since the holes on the Hipshot unit didn't line up with the factory holes, and I didn't want to do the necessary dowling, redrilling and finish work to use it. The electronics are in, the control cavity and truss covers are on, I decided to go with witch hat knobs. All he needs to do to finish it is install the bridge and nut and set it up and it'll be ready. Oh, the finish is freakin' slick as owl $h!t. Hoping for the end of the week, but next week will be fine, too. Will post pics when I get 'er home.
