$1450 NOS with case. Non-authorized dealer, IOW it's technically mint-used/unused.

I've dealt with Chris over the years. Local to me. Honest, etc, if sometimes grumpy .....
No personal connection. BTW his setup guy is verrrrry good.

New basses are red. Used basses are black.

Those Z-Birds are one of a kind in sound. Contrary to what I expected, they don't sound brighter than a reg all-maho Bird, but in fact more middish with the highest presence pretty much chopped off. They are also more focussed in sound than a reg TBird which tends to be a bit more everywhere (that is part of its charm).

There is a touch of Warwick sound in them and I don't mean that as a put down because as regards focussed mids many Warwicks have a voice of their own. It's probably the one and only TBird you could do fusion with though it holds its ground in a rock setting, it's just not as wild as a regular TBird.

PS: Golem, I have a double humbucker Bongo in the exact same color (coral something, right?): Just without that girlie B string! [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

Altho amongst the EROTIC [Elite Rabble Of The Inner Circle] it is known as the Infamous Orange Bongo, EBMM calls my 5HH "Desert Gold". My Bongo 4 is prolly closer to "coral", being the color EBMM calls "Lava Pearl".

Someday I will have a Bongo 4HH-p FL in any color but green. Root Beer prolly look way cool with a pau ferro blank plank, if they ever bring back Root Beer. Or maybe Egyptian Smoke, but please boys and girls, if you wanna try it at home, do be careful that you do NOT inhale :-]
