That IS awesome. Perfect project shape - there are parts (nos/aftermarket) all over the place right now to bring that one back. Good timing!

I got '76 pup covers from greatdealz off ebay, Bill makes the tail piece and I make the bridge. Maybe I'll get some of Tony's repro 60's covers and really do it right! I also have a vintage pickguard with a nice clean logo in the parts box waiting for a home.

Is that a Bill Lawrence pup in the bridge and are you getting rid of it? [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]

It's been a while since I posted but I have made progress on this bird. New vintage pg, one of my bridges, drbassmans tail piece, got the controls sorted out, fixed the pushed in control area and Found a vintage 60's Thunderbird pickup for her. I also had to reset the replaced headstock, she is quite the player !ImageImageImageImageImage

Not sure how far I am going to take it. I will fill the holes between the bridge and tail piece, maybe pull the bridge pup, the bass started life as a II, but then I have a big hole to fill, I might put a minibucker in the bridge spot at least it is Gibson. The tuners are the correct reverse type but they are gold plated so they have to go, I'll buy some nickle repros when I get around to it. I don't plan on doing a refin on it, before long all the tobacco sunburst 'birds will be gone.
