70's Gretsch solid body on local CL

No affiliation. Interesting. Never saw one of these before

here

Rare late 70s Gretsch model 7629 "Committee" bass for sale. It's beautifully made from walnut and maple with MOP inlays and ivory binding around the neck and head stock. Thru-body construction and near perfect condition.

Bad Ass II bridge and Schaller pegs. With original hardshell case.

Interesting. I had one in the early 80s and gave it to my brother, May still be around somewhere. Not many of them around......never seen another.

Japanese gretsch. Played a few. Heavy as a mofo and not a great sounding instrument IMO.

Committee's were built in Boonville Arkansas, USA

9 lbs - the instrument has great action.
